It is finally done. Cobbles Baby! chronicles my adventures bombing around Northern France and Belgium trying to get up close and personal with the “hardmen” of pro-cycling and the Queen of the Classics, Paris-Roubaix. I fell in love with the “Hell of the North” the moment I first laid eyes on it. I had always dreamed about going and seeing it for myself. If you are like me, and you are still awed by what the “boys” of the pro peloton can do, then you know I just had to go and experience one of the “Classics.” I had an amazing time at the race and really got a taste of the passion Belgians have for the sport. I hope you enjoy the film. If you buy the film, please send me an e-mail and let me know what you think. And if you want your comments to show up on my website let me know that it is OK to post it.

How wonderful that today, September 11th, the five year anniversary of the terrorist attacks, that I got the call from the duplicator that Cobbles Baby! was ready to be picked up. As I drove my rented U-haul van three hours each way through LA traffic listening to all the radio memorials and comments, I thought this is what America is all about. Having the freedom to have and pursue one’s dreams, what ever they may be. Sure, people are free in many other countries to do the same, while in others they may not be.
Getting back around 4PM with the load (finally) I had an idea. What better way to commemorate the date than working like a dog to fulfill the 200 plus backorders and get the packages so they would be postmarked Sept 11, 2006. So the Beth, Lindsey, Cristie and I worked till late until we got them all out and then drove them down to the Postal Service distribution center for late processing. After two and a half years of work pursuing my dream of making a second film, I was definitely appreciating the freedoms we enjoy and remembering those who lost their lives five years ago.
